The Completely Right State of Mind

Sometimes I'm beset by the wrong combination of chemicals and I end up in a completely wrong state of mind, which leads to having a bad day. I think this morning, however, I got the right set. I had pleasant dreams, I had a wonderful morning wake up with Wendy, a good breakfast, I got to the terminal and walked right onto the ferry (I even got a booth with a table). I wrote a little in my PDA, and then sauntered into work, taking a new path. I admired the art deco Exchange Building--both its exterior and lobby--and took time to notice the other people walking along the sidewalk with me. Then, just before I got to work, I realized that I am really happy these days--I'm happy at home, I'm happy at work, and I'm happy living here. I know that nothing last forever, change is bound to come, along with frustration and disappointment. But I want to write this, now, and save it with me as a reminder of the good things that support me.
