At Least I Still Have a Job

On Monday, I was surprised to learn that a colleague and I, as well as our category, was being reassigned to a different group. We used to be a part of toys and now we're a part of hardlines, which encompases everything from kitchen utensils to MP3 players. I have mixed feelings about it. I like that the company plans to put more emphasis on video games, but I was really feeling a part of the kids team. What also makes me sad is that David, the third member of our department, is being left behind in toys. I felt the same way when we came in to toys, I suppose, and my company is nothing if not a series of changes, so I might as well just get used to it. At least I still have a job.
