Tips for Writing
- Write with your eyes closed.
- Narrow your focus. Don't think further than one word or one sentence.
- Burrow into your writing. Go back into your writing, find a good place, and expand upon what you had.
- Write quickly. Don't edit as you go; leave in even the typos. Editing comes after writing.
- Keep your tools in the tunnel. Write all the time, make time to write. Schedule it in your calendar, unplug your power, lock the door of your office.
- Failures lead to successes. You won't have the best day writing until you're willing to have the worst day writing.
- Write all different types of stuff, especially letters to friends and family members.
