Ohh. The Lure of TV is STRONG

I remember when I met Wendy, I didn't have a TV. Well, I had a TV and a VCR, but I didn't get any reception. I would sometimes borrow videos from the Video Editor at work, who once asked me why I lacked one.

"Well," I said, "I listen a lot to the radio and I often go out to see movies. Besides, without a TV, I can get more things done."

"Like what?"

"Like...cleaning my apartment."

She just rolled her eyes and said, "Puhleeeease." I guess I came off as pretty smug. Still, the TV is as ubiquitous today as the cigarette was in the 1940s. Internet, cable, and Tivo just add to the noise.

When I was loading the dishwasher earlier this evening, I caught myself humming the "i'm lovin' it" jingle from McDonalds. I'm really inside the matrix now.

Will write more later. Made dinner in the last hour and didn't spend any time with Cinder. Now she's not going to be ignored.
