Edgar Allen Poe Cryptography

I found my way to a great site that talks about cryptography (secret messages). I got to reading about some of history's biggest solved and unsolved ciphers and learned about three cryptographs that may or may not have been left by Edgar Allen Poe. I found it a very interesting story, but when I got to the first decrypted message, I was stopped dead in my tracks by the sheer beauty of these words:
The soul secure in her existence smiles at the drawn dagger and defies its point. The stars shall fade away, the sun himself grow dim with age and nature sink in years, but thou shall flourish in immortal youth, unhurt amid the war of elements, the wreck of matter and the crush of worlds.
