I've been working this last week editing content for toy products. At this point, I've gone through more than 400 toys, and the names of these products aren't making sense to me any more.
Below is a list of actual products mixed with fake products I've made up. Let me know if you can tell the difference:
- Loving Family Puppy Playtime
- Polly Pocket! Groovy-Glam Pony Polly Doll
- Night-Night Bath Time Toy Ring
- Play-Doh Meal Makin Kitchen
- Electronic Dancing Pal with Volume Control
- Disney Princess Ariel Light-Up Dolphin Chariot
- My First Ringing Singing Cell Phone Bear
2 Comments:
I want an Extreme Fun Happy Bounce Wiggle Buddy (Rag Doll)!
I think you should add Rag Doll to the end of each of those to make them sound even more surreal! I mean, what happened to just having a simple old rag doll for a toy? Now we want our dolls to pee and poop and gurgle and spit and eat and sing and say "All hail the Christian Right!" (Or, I want mine to do those things, anyway.)
For the record, and because I won't remember in a couple of months unless I write it down, here is the answer sheet:
Loving Family Puppy Playtime -- true
Polly Pocket! Groovy-Glam Pony Polly Doll -- sadly, true
Night-Night Bath Time Toy Ring -- false. Please don't ever put your children to bed in the bath
Play-Doh Meal Makin Kitchen -- Amazingly, true. Play-Doh is non-toxic, and this set shows kids how to make realistic looking food. Seems like a recipe for trouble to me.
Electronic Dancing Pal with Volume Control -- false. There probably is a real Electronic Dancing Pal out there, but it most likely does not have any volume control.
Disney Princess Ariel Light-Up Dolphin Chariot -- true. Coming to a landfill near you.
My First Ringing Singing Cell Phone Bear -- false, but for how long?
