That was the weather forecast on my clock radio alarm this morning. He could have just said, "Expect constant rain."

I expected this. I've known for a while that January is a difficult month around here. It's only tangentially about the rain. It's just that, day after day, I feel like I'm living in an aquarium. Everything is constantly wet and the ever-present cloud cover bathes us in a blue light. We have a late, elongated dawn, a washed out noon, followed by a slow decline into an early twilight. We all use our headlights during the day.

I don't mean to complain, either, because a part of me really likes this kind of weather. It's just such a drain on my energy. A little bit of sun would sure feel good right now. Wake me in the spring.
