How to Apply
Applying for this application is a two-step process. The first step is filling out our online form, which includes personal information and five short essay questions.
The second step is to send the committee a compact disc with five samples of art created by you along with signed verification statements. There are instructions at the end of the form process to guide you how to do this step.
How to Fill Out the Online Application
The application form accepts only simple text, so do not enter html, rtf, or other coded or formatted styles.
There are five screens that require input on this application. Because you cannot save your progress until the end of the application, you should prepare your answers in advance of starting the application form. The form asks for the following information:
- Name
- e-mail address
- residential address
- date of birth
- place of birth
- current citizenship
- gender
- high schools attended (with dates)
- cumulative GPA
- anticipated date of graduation
- a listing of extra-curricular activities
- colleges applied to
- work history (with dates)
- personal references (with phone numbers)
- and these 500-word-maximum essay questions:
- How has art influenced your life?
- Describe a specific experience that helped you know that you want to go to art school.
- What career path do you envision for yourself after college?
- What would you like committee members to notice about these sample images?
- Is there anything else you feel we should know about you in order to give your application our best consideration?
Consider preparing your answers to these form questions in text editor, such as Notepad, before applying. You could then copy and paste into the form.
